New Pen & Ink-Pointillism Portrait 6-18-12

Here is a new pen and ink line/pointillism that I did as a
birthday present for my niece. She loves Taylor Swift so this
was the result of that 21 hour project I did last week. The art was done on a
4 x 6 piece of Canson Watercolor Paper 140 lb.
Hope you like it.

WIP Gabi Pontillisim

This is a portrait of my niece done in a combo of line art and pointillism. This started out as just a little self test to see how it would come out and now considering how it did turn out I'm thinking this might be an item.  If I can scale the time factor down a bit, I might be able to make this into a commission offer to people. Let me know what you think of it over all, your input would be valuable to me. Thank you.

Owl Illustration: Line/Pointallism Ink

Here are some pics of an 4x6 illustration I did in ink of an owl. This is the first Pointillism that I have done this small. Usually it's at least 81/2 x 11 but I have done them as large as 20 x 30 which will probably never be repeated as it took me a year to finish. I must admit even thought the larger one's are more impressive as far as scale, these smaller ones are more fun, I think that I will do some more of them and maybe I'll even put them up for sale over at Etsy. Anyway tell me what you think, I would be interested in your comments.

Enjoy!

War Eagle Illustration 1-31-12

Illustration done for a Female wrestler's promotion in print and textile products.

The art was done 95 percent in Manga Studio Ex 4 with around 5 percent specifically touch-ups done in Photoshop CS3.

This is the first fully illustrated project that I have done in Manga Studio EX4, so the time was a
little augmented by a healthy learning curve of using a new piece of software.
The actual illustration time was around 85 hours, which I used Toggl a web project tracker to keep time. I really recommend it to help your time consumption and billable hours to your clients.

I am rather pleased how it turned out and the client was very excited to see their idea in full color. I believe that I will be using MS EX4 again for the next project.

Here are the links to the two products I used.
